Love this Diner. Must go when in Lake Placid! Excellent menu and great staff. Their water is delicious Adirondack water.

Very reasonable prices for amazing food and great service. We loved it so much that we ate here two days in a row. This was the best hollandaise sauce we’ve ever tried before too!

Great local diner. The ADK breakfast sandwich was delish. I've eaten breakfast there 3 times and it's been perfect every time. One of the few true values in Placid.

Asked them to sub sausage gravy for hollandaise on their ADK breakfast sandwich and the result was amazing.

Stopped in for breakfast before hitting the slopes. The food was very good for breakfast and they used real eggs to make the omelettes.😄Service was great and the place is kept very clean.

This place has it all at a reasonable price. It's clean , simple and packed with history . Once known as "Ruthie's" , this diner has been a staple of lake Placid for over fourth years. Ruthie , according to the locals was a tough woman but it was the old highschool hangout. The chandeliers are still there and the vibe is very retro but not obnoxious. No matter what you get it's well made and fresh. The homemade POTATO CHIPS ARE WORTH ORDERING TO GO ,EVEN IF YOU JUST ATE THEM , YOU'RE GOING TO CRAVE THEM LATER I PROMISE.Food- 8Atmosphere -8Server -9Cleanliness-9Cool spot to eat for value-9

Liked the hash, and my over easy eggs were done just right. Solid cup of black coffee.

Great spot to go to breakfast. Service was great, food was great, and it was relaxing. A good stop on a morning in LP.

Dave Grohl was our waiter. He did a good job. Great eggs, hash, coffee. Pancakes and potatoes need work. Clean friendly local diner. Maybe less ducttape on the seats. Appropriately priced. Per-person $14 with tip.

Went in as a party of six and the waitress (young lady) was exceptional. Made a milkshake for one of my party that is legendary and has ruined it for everyone else. Friendly and great prices gave us great directions to our next destination. Def thumbs up

Great food as long as you are not in a rush! Wait staff have one speed and do y seem to provide any urgency toward getting you in and out.

Good breakfast. Food was made to order and accurate. The eggs Benedict were very nice. The corned beef hash was homemade. It tasted very good. My only complaint is that while I was reviewing the bill, the lady wanted to take of my hands. I found that rude.

I had a great time here, everybody were welcoming to us. We were 13 people and they accommodate the tables for us. The waitress was very polite and nice. Good quantity of food.I ordered pancakes and eggs, they were yummie.The place Looks like a traditional diner, very clean and nice.When I come back to Lake Placid, I will have this place in my mind.

Standard diner. But, waitress is crazy. Asked for milk for my tea. Attitude response, that she’ll get it when she can ma’am. Ok sure....Fastforward nearly 10 minutes (tea cold) Brings everyone’s food asks if there’s anything else...yes (I say nicely) just the milk for my tea....Waitress: “Well, if you told me you needed milk when you ordered. I have to go all the way in the back, so you’ll have to wait😳.”. What! Total nut.

A good old fashioned American diner. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and service was fast. We were seated immediately on a Saturday morning at 8:30am and got our food within 10mins.

Excellent service with great food. I was more than happy with the selection on the menu. Just enough to satisfy everyone while not too many things to make you concerned about freshness & quality. They have time to concentrate on what they do have and do it well. Pleasantly decorated and well lighted while being centrally located.

Lots of items missing from the menu. Wait staff picking excess food off plates, some just sitting at empty tables doing nothing. Kind of a werid working atmosphere. Not terrible but not a good choice if you're looking for anything beyond sustenance.We stayed in Wilmington with a large group and all made the same mistake in smaller groups - drove to Lake Placid super hungry and stopped at the first place we saw...

The only place we will for breakfast while visiting Placid! Staff is great and the my fiancée from the south says the biscuits and gravy is to die for!! Even better than the South, lol. We are loyal customers from now on.

Good and service was good. Like everything else in Lake Placid it's a little worn down and ragged around the edges.

On the way in, we had a couple tell us 'not to bother' because 'we waited ten minutes and no one came to wait on us.'The place was packed with people, but we still got a table, got waited on, and got drinks all probably within ten minutes. I had a two egg breakfast with rye toast and honestly- perfect portion, perfect size, came out hot and fresh- Couldn't ask for better. Compliments to the staff for outperforming the initial negativity.

Bad service, and cold food. It's hard to mess up breakfast, however, our server spent his time on his phone sitting in the booth in the corner. The hash browns were inedible, eggs and toast were cold. Will never stop there again.

Run-of-the-mill at best. In need of a serious deep cleaning. Food was standard out of the box, blah food. Overpriced for the portions and quality.

The food was good the fries are seasoned and battered if you opt to get those with your meal instead of the house made chips that come with it. The portion sizes are about average and you have a varied selection of breakfast brunch and lunch items. The staff is courteous and friendly. The overall place was clean but there was a little bit of crumbs and pieces of food under the table where I sat, I give it to them maybe they just didn't get to clean it up yet. The food had a lot of flavor and the prices aren't too bad I think the most expensive thing o. The menus was $11.99. enjoy

I had breakfast. Pretty much anyplace that makes good blueberry pancakes with the blueberries, and plenty of them, in the pancakes will get a thumbs up in my book. If you're all about instagram influencers decor then this basic old school diner may not be your thing. If you want good food at a fair price, then stop in.

Our food was excellent and flavored perfectly! Steak and eggs were YUM! Pancakes were great. and the gyro was good too! And our waiter was very nice ! I would recommend here DEFINITELY

Fantastic homemade biscuits and sausage gravy. I remember when the biscuits used the be the size of plates. I could never finish those so it’s no big loss but it was nice to have some with marmalade as a dessert. The staff is great and the prices are so cheap. We make sure to stop here every time we’re in town. Hubby always get the country fried steak and I do the ADK breakfast sandwich and we’re full enough for a hike in the mountains.
